Hey everyone, here are the chapters we will be releasing this month. Expect the chapters in the latter half of August, so no need to refresh our site before then. But in the meantime, take a vote in August’s poll, or go back and comment on some old chapters. Comments are a great source of motivation to keep us going while we’re getting the chapters ready. You can also look forward to our next contest, which will be starting soon. More information to come.

As a general note, we have come to the end of our stockpile of translations for several series, so there will possibly be a month here and there where there is no chapter released for certain series. Or, we’ll release half a chapter in order to prevent there being too long of a dry spell. Unfortunately, it’s either that, or no release at all. )’: Therefore, we will be releasing Part One of “The Laboratory” this month, with Part Two to come next month.

That said, we can definitely use more translators! Our translator positions are always open~ (See that Recruitment link in our menu? Go on now, click it!)

Last month, our poll was about Grisia playing Second Life! It seems that he’ll either end up as an overlord, or he’ll end up as a leecher. What a big difference… August’s poll, thanks to Listening Daisy, is about Shooting Star from GOD capturing some new pets. Who will he set his eye on? As always, we are taking poll ideas over here.

Jiang Ziya kept his eyes wide, taking in Fu Jun’s every movement. The latter knelt down in front of the stone, delicately touching the blooming lotus seat.

The lotus flower was drawn in great detail—deep pink petals, tender green leaves, and delicate golden lines tracing the edges—making it appear rather fancy, but unfortunately, it seemed quite aged, with mottled spots in many locations.

First, Fu Jun touched the picture of the blooming lotus seat, and then he knocked on the stone. Jiang Ziya almost didn’t dare to blink his eyes. This was a rare chance to observe. He was afraid he would miss a single detail and still not understand how to enter a “barrier dimension” in the future—even though it was better not to have to enter those kinds of places.

After touching the lotus and the stone, there were still no changes. Fu Jun frowned. He pressed his index finger against his lips, forming a shushing gesture, and then slowly moved his finger away from his lips, pointing it at the stone. Jiang Ziya clearly saw the finger glow faintly again.

Although Shooting Star had been an adventurer for a good long while, coming here to the Adventurers’ Guild’s battle arena was a first. In the past, he had his hands full just with making money to support himself. Even though he could stave off hunger by capturing forest animals, they just weren’t as tasty as the dishes prepared by the restaurants in the city.

Therefore, Shooting Star didn’t have any time to watch something like a duel, and he definitely wouldn’t waste his hard-earned money on placing a bet over who would win or lose.

As expected of the Adventurers’ Guild, whose influence spread throughout the Northern and Western Continents, even a small city had a battle arena that was nothing to scoff at. The arena was semicircular and very spacious. The spectator seats to the side were a full three stories high, and eighty percent of the seats were actually filled.

“Tang Wulie, that old rascal. It’s enough that he’s taking bets. He’s even letting in spectators!”

Shooting Star was so angry that his teeth smarted. Even Bones, an undead creature without a brain, could figure out that Tang Wulie was definitely making a killing from selling the tickets, yet Shooting Star had actually agreed to split the bet with him thirty-seventy. I hate him…

There was a circular stage in the middle of the arena, with four round pillars in the four corners of the stage. A large, round orb sat atop of each pillar. After Tang Wulie walked closer to the round pillars, he spoke with a few people whose clothes hinted that they might be mages. Then, they immediately set to work.

It didn’t take long for the orbs to begin emitting a soft light. A layer of faint light enveloped the stage. It was likely to be a protective dome added to prevent the audience from getting hurt.

“Brat, ready to die?”
