The Legend of Sun Knight Volume 3: To the Rescue of a Princess

Original novel in Chinese by: 御 我 (Yu Wo)

Third Requirement of Rescuing a Princess: “Carry out the Adventure Trip” – translated by Lucathia

“Sun, wake up. It’s time to pitch camp.”

I was dreaming a dream in which I was lying down on grass wet from rain that had just fallen. As I was thinking about using fire magic to roast the grass dry because of my discomfort, I was blurredly woken up by Leaf and slid off his back. When I became a little more lucid, I finally realized Leaf was completely wet all over… So that wet grass was Leaf.

Fortunately, he woke me up. Otherwise, even as a good person, once he was roasted medium rare he would have probably erupted with fury, right?

While this was going on, Austin had already started assigning jobs. “Mike, you go hunt with Ann. Everyone’s tired. Eating some fresh meat is very helpful for recovering stamina.”

Mike accordingly gave a nod.

Resigned and Despairing Life Mottos by Yu Wo

posted in: Blog | 13

Yu Wo has started a series of plurks called “Each Characters’ Resigned and Despairing Life Motto,” in which characters come up with despairing words about life. It’s quite a fun series~.

Motto 1
Charles (No Hero): Life is about endlessly overcooking things.

Motto 2
Grisia (Legend of Sun Knight): Life is about taking the wrong fork in the road once and forever being in debt afterward without a retirement fund, shit!

Motto 3
Carol (Female Warrior): Life is having my old lady retire and not having my own child yet still having to take care of scum left behind by my comrade and then having to deal with scum brought in by scum and then more scum brought in by other scum and then scum again brought in by scum!

Motto 4

Ah Ye (Eclipse Hunter, more known as Daren to people who follow Odd Squad’s translations): Life is about endlessly becoming stronger! ~~~Charles: Young Master, please speak the resigned and despairing version.

Ah Ye: Huh? T-Then life is, is, um, is about never knowing what to say OTZ…

Motto 6
Liola (Kill No More): …Life is about being able to toss Father and Baolilong to the side for three days?
(Kaiser: Damn! It really is the year 2012 this year.)

Motto 7
Kaiser (Kill No More): Life is about going all out and offing Liola’s old man, brother, and son!

Motto 7
Judgment: Life is about saying the words ‘don’t fool around’ over and over yet still having to allow the other person to fool around.

If Yu Wo comes up with any more after 7 (and they aren’t too spoilerish), I’ll add them here~.

Can you think of any despairing words from 1/2 Prince and Legend of Sun Knight characters? Share them here in a comment!

how to buy from Kingstone

posted in: Blog | 11

If you’ve ever wanted to buy Yu Wo’s works to support her, there are a few places online where you can do that. One of the places is Kingstone, which is completely in Chinese. Below are step-by-step instructions on how to register and buy stuff from Kingstone, who do ship overseas and take credit card and paypal. I wrote this up for Arc, one of our lovely proofreaders here at PR, but this might also be helpful for others, yes? [Another place, if you don’t want to go through a Chinese site, is Yesasia, which has cheaper (and often free shipping), but the prices are raised to compensate for that. I am unsure what they carry.]

Please note, all novels and manhua are in CHINESE. There are currently no official English releases of Yu Wo’s works. Shipping is pricey but fast and not completely outrageous if you buy at least 4 volumes or so (so that your shipping isn’t double the price of what you buy).

The Legend of Sun Knight Volume 3: To the Rescue of a Princess

Original novel in Chinese by: 御 我 (Yu Wo)

Second Requirement of Rescuing a Princess: “Form an Adventurer Team” – translated by Lucathia

Saving a princess is considered good fortune for a knight, for not only can he take a (wealthy) young beauty as his bride, he can also conveniently raise his reputation.

However, going out to save someone else’s princess is not fortunate for a Sun Knight, for not only must he struggle to do his utmost to save the (wealthy) young beauty, he must also look on helplessly as the (wealthy) young beauty marries another. Besides, a Sun Knight’s reputation is already so resounding that it doesn’t need to be raised anymore.

Later that night, after the queen requested that I save her daughter, who was someone else’s princess, Leaf asked me worriedly, “Sun, are you going to decline the queen’s request?”

I took in a deep breath, and just when I was about to say this and that about the God of Light, Leaf forced a smile and said, “Sun, I hope you can use simple words. My ability to decipher your speech is not as good as Storm’s or Adair’s, so I might not understand what you’re saying.” Continued

Christmas Special Event Update

posted in: Blog | 5

The 24th has passed in Taiwan! 9 conditions out of 10 were met, so Yu Wo posted 9 updates to her works! The last condition was the Facebook activity getting liked 2000 times.

Out of the 9 updates Yu Wo posted, one was Blaze’s side story about kicking down doors. This will be translated by PR! along with the other LSK sidestories that Yu Wo previously shared! There are no plans (yet?) for the other works though, as many of them are sidestories to longer works (such as Kill No More and No Hero), as well as continuations of longer works.

The works that were posted were
-Female Warrior / 女武外傳2 parts 7 and 8
-Kill No More sidestory 1/ 朦塵月 chapters 3a, 3b, and 4
-Kill No More sidestory 2 Kiss of the Demon King / 魔王之吻 chapter 2
-Blaze’s sidestory from LSK
-Contract of the Human Doll / 人娃契 part 6
-I AM E*X part 8

Yu Wo was posting like crazy yesterday! I had a lot of fun reading people’s comments. One person commented, “I came to visit Yu Wo’s blog and saw so many updates! I thought Yu Wo broke and the end of the world was coming!” People were commenting both on the blog post and the Plurk one about how much of each condition was already finished, like “We’re only 200 plurks away from 800! Go go go! \o/”. I think more than half of the comments must have been in that vein. XD (I was most amused when people on Plurk decided to start discussing Yu Wo’s works to rack up the comment count. The cutest discussion had to be when people started discussing what it’d be like if Blaze went and kicked down, saaaay, Cloud’s door, or Metal’s door, or -enter some other person’s door-.)

For those of you who participated, I hope you had fun! :D For everyone else, once again, happy holidays! I hope you’re having an awesome end of the year.
