The Legend of Sun Knight Volume 4: To Slay a Dragon

Original novel in Chinese by: 御 我 (Yu Wo)

Fourth Shared Rule of the Twelve Holy Knights: “In Theory, Never Ruffle the Sun Knight’s Feathers. In Practice, it is Better to Ruffle the Sun Knight’s Feathers than to Ruffle the Judgment Knight’s Feathers” – translated by raylight

In the dark, the Twelve Holy Knights sat quietly around the conference table. Only the Sun Knight had yet to arrive, yet no one was chit-chatting like usual. Rather, everyone remained silent without uttering a single word. They didn’t even give each other as much as a sideways glance, fearing that they would accidentally attract the attention of Judgment Knight, who currently had a cold expression on his face.

Suddenly, the doors of the conference room swung open, momentarily filling the whole room with light, as well as a radiantly smiling face.

“My dear brothers, it has been a long time since we have mutually exchanged the God of Light’s…”

“Sit down,” interrupted Lesus Judgment coldly.

Sun Knight was stunned for a moment, and surveyed the people in the room. He realized that everyone’s sitting posture was extremely proper, and even their backs were perfectly straight… Then, he very obediently sat in his seat, his back as straight as everyone else’s.

Lesus Judgment said with indifference, “Since you have regained your memories now, do explain to everyone as to why you would travel from the Holy Temple to the Kingdom of Moon Orchid’s Valley of Trizer.”

Sun Knight gulped and then timidly opened his mouth to say, “A-Actually, I had first gone to the Kingdom of Kissinger. But, I really don’t remember how I managed to get there…”

Bam! Lesus Judgment severely slammed the table once. Everybody’s eyelids twitched vigorously and they became even more afraid to show any kind of expression, not daring to even let a single strand of hair move.

In a short moment, Sun Knight then confessed with his lips trembling, “Lesus, I really, really don’t remember. I can swear this by the God of Light a hundred times! I can only remember that I went to sleep the previous night. When I woke up the next day, I was already in Kissinger. It’s true, I’m not lying to you this time!”

So, in the past you lied to him pretty often? No one dared to move their gaze, and only retorted inside their hearts silently.

It was unknown whether Lesus Judgment believed it or not, for he only nonchalantly said, “Well then, since you don’t remember it, let me tell you.”

“Eh?” Sun Knight looked bewildered.

As though he was conducting an interrogation, Lesus Judgment said, “Usually, you don’t carry the Divine Sun Sword out, right?”

“Eh… Right.”

“The Divine Sun Sword is a treasure that recognizes you as its owner, so there’s no possibility that it could have been taken out of the Church by someone else without you realizing it, right?”

“… Yes.”

“Thus, on that day, as for the reason why the Divine Sun Sword was outside the Church, it must have been you who brought it out, right?

“Knight-Captain Hell has always been loyal to his duties. I set an order for him to follow you, but he did not do so. It must have been that you had intentionally shaken him off, right?”

Sun Knight secretly snuck a peek at Roland Hell, and he was forced to admit, “Uh-huh.”

Lesus Judgment didn’t raise any more questions. He only gave Sun Knight a cold look before he gave his verdict, “Thus, on that day, the reason as to why you brought out the Divine Sun Sword must have been because you were about to conduct something dangerous. Then, with your personality, you must not have wanted to get Knight-Captain Hell involved in it, and hence you intentionally shook him off before going off by yourself to do something dangerous. In the end, due to certain unknown matters happening, you were sent over to the Kingdom of Kissinger and lost your memories. What happened is as such.”

Hearing the verdict, everyone had an expression of realization on his face, while Sun Knight wore an expression of wanting to cry but not being able to.

In the future, if we were to lose our memories, we won’t have to worry; Knight-Captain Judgment would be responsible for judging what I have done or will do in that state, everyone silently thought in their hearts again.

Lesus Judgment slowly stood up, and then from his higher position, he looked down onto the still-seated Sun Knight. Using his extremely low voice, he said, “Last time you made yourself blind. This time you went off to do something dangerous by yourself, resulting in amnesia… If we don’t discipline your unruly self, next time I’m not sure what kind of things you’re going to do!”

“You want to discipline me?”

Sun Knight looked dumfounded. After seeing Lesus Judgment’s icy expression, he finally understood that this time, he meant it for real. He immediately shouted, “Wait a minute, my stomach suddenly hurts and I want to go to the toilet. If there’s anything, discuss it after I come back!”

When he finished speaking, he violently stood up and turned around to run toward the door. In this time frame, Lesus did not even move, but only stared at him with a cold gaze.

Sun Knight had only walked two steps when he realized that someone had already blocked the door of the conference room.

“Leaf…”

Leaf Knight stood at the door, showing a gentle smile as he said, “Sun, even when you became blind, you refused to tell me about it, and even deceived me for so long. If your lie had not been exposed this time, how much longer were you planning to deceive me? Hmm? Sun.”

Sun Knight gulped and instantly turned around, wanting to switch to jumping through the window to escape for his life. However, this time, it was Ice Knight who stood at the window.

“Ice…” Sun Knight looked very grieved as he said, “Didn’t you already say that you forgive me?”

Ice Knight nodded his head, and then he said, “I forgive you for throwing me to the dragon.” Afterwards, he silently rubbed Sun Knight’s head, and then returned to the window.

“… You are holding a grudge in this way?”

Ice Knight nodded his head again.

Since that method didn’t work, Sun Knight could only turn around. He aimed a glance at Knight-Captain Hell, who was still seated. In a hurry, he yelled, “Roland, hurry and take me out of here!”

Roland Hell said in a faint voice, “You purposely shook me off and made me fail to carry out my duties. I have always felt very upset that I actually didn’t manage to do my job, and caused everyone so much trouble…”

“…”

Sun Knight took a look to his left, and then to the right. All of the people whom his eyes landed on turned their heads, not even daring to look at him at all.

Upon the realization that there was no help within sight, he made a decision at this critical juncture without any hesitation. He instantly yelled, “Adair, help!”

The conference room’s door was knocked open, and Adair hastily rushed in, shouting, “Captain, what has happened?”

At this moment, Lesus Judgment finally made a move. With a sudden flicker of his shadow, he jumped in front of Adair. The latter only managed to blurt out in suspicion, “Knight-Captain Judg- Oof!” before a hit landed on his abdomen. Adair slowly collapsed with a stomach full of doubt.

“Vidar,” Lesus Judgment called lightly.

A holy knight, who was wearing the Judgment Knight Platoon’s uniform, walked in through the door and saluted Judgment Knight. In this time frame, although he had tried to keep calm, he could not help but sneak a peek at the unconscious Adair out of the corner of his eye.

Lesus Judgment instructed his vice-captain, “The Sun Knight Platoon’s vice-captain, Adair, is permitted a month’s worth of sick leave because he was ‘injured on duty.’ All of his work will be handled personally by Knight-Captain Sun. You will be responsible for bringing Adair back to his hometown to rest and, at the same time, inform him that during this period of his sick leave, if I see him around the Holy Temple even once, the Sun Knight will have to personally correct documents for another month!”

Sun Knight looked at Vidar dragging away his last savior. With an expression of despair, he looked back at Lesus Judgment, asking, “Lesus, are you for real?”

Lesus Judgment stoically said, “Deceiving others is something that you usually do, but have I done it before?”

Hearing that, Sun Knight was speechless for a while, but he still struggled desperately. Putting up a bold face, he said, “Your reasoning seems to be very rational when you first hear it, but there’s also a possibility that I was only bringing the Divine Sun Sword out to look for Pink to brew tea together, and afterwards for unknown reasons I was set up by her and was sent flying to Kissinger…”

“You’re talking about Pink?”

Roland abruptly started speaking, “She helped out quite a bit. When we received the news that Blaze had sent, we originally had no idea how to go over there in such a short period of time. At that time, she had coincidentally happened to come over and look for me. Once she heard about this matter, she prepared a teleportation circle, and sent all of us over.”

“… What?” He was flabbergasted. It was Pink who had sent them over? But, but I thought that…

Pink is Scarlet.

Hesitant, he asked, “Is Pink still a little girl?”

“No, she switched to another body.” Roland shook his head, and then explained in detail, “This time, she changed to a woman that looks like she was in her twenties. She is no longer a little girl.”

What? If you say that then… Pink is really not Scarlet?

“Grisia,” Lesus Judgment abruptly shouted.

“What?” Sun Knight turned around to look toward Lesus Judgment. Could it be that he too found Pink a little odd?

Lesus Judgment said indifferently, “Don’t think that changing the topic will be able to help you escape from this. Leaf, Hell, drag Sun to the confinement chamber. Knight-Captain Hell, starting from today, for the whole month, you will be responsible for looking after Sun. Without my permission, no one is allowed to enter that confinement chamber.”

“Yes!”

The two of them supported Sun Knight, one on the left and the other on the right. They started dragging him toward the door of the conference room.

“Wait a minute! Lesus, I won’t dare to act unreasonably again! Help! I don’t want to be shut inside the confinement chamber correcting a month’s worth of documents! You might as well send me to meet the God of Light! Lesus Judgmeeeent!”

After Sun Knight was dragged out, the doors of the conference room closed with a loud bang. Lesus Judgment nonchalantly said the word “Dismissed,” and then neatly left the conference room.

After everyone sent Judgment Knight off with their eyes silently, only then at this time did someone dare to open his mouth to ask hesitantly, “In theory, it’s the Sun Knight who is the leader of the Holy Temple and the head of the Twelve Holy Knights, right?”

“Yeah!”

“So, in theory, the Judgment Knight shouldn’t be able to arrest and take away the Sun Knight to be shut away in confinement, right?”

“Even the Pope cannot shut him up in confinement.”

“Then… This doesn’t seem to be quite right?”

“It’s not quite right in theory, but in practice… If you have the guts, you can try to release Sun in front of Judgment’s face!”

“… Actually, I’m not a theory type of person.”

    OMG Thank you thank you so much!!!! This chapter is my best fav so far! Absolutely priceless! I think I have fallen in love all over again with Judgement <3

  2. Shyde

    wow. just wow. I see that Sun will most certainly be suffering for all the horrible things he did. Judge: 1 Sun: 0. Do you think he still gets sweets in his cell?

    Thanks for the chapter PR!

    • lulumoon

      After reading it, I love Lesus. He chose a perfect punishment and guard. He did all that he promised. He revealed Sun’s “condition”; is forcing him to work; took away the only person who could possibly maybe actually TRY to defy the Judgement Knight’s orders, and made sure he stayed away; AND confined Sun with no possibility of visitors. I have to wonder, does that mean that Ice will not be allowed to give Sun desserts as well? That might mean the first death of a Sun Knight in history.

    • Alyss

      @lulumoon
      Ahaha, death from sugar deficiency. If it’s Sun… XDDD I can see that happening~
      Ah, I love LSK. Thank all you translators for all your hard work <3 (Yu Wo will probably never read this, so I won't bother to thank her here. Sides, it's the feeling that counts, right? ^_^")

  3. ZaX

    Hahaha and here I thought Sun was the most powerful behind the scenes… Guess we know it is actually Judgement now.

  4. Anna

    ah sun.. poor you..
    but Storm isn’t forbidding to help you.. go ask him :p
    thanks for translation pr.. you brighten up my monday >.<

    Best author ever!!
    Poor poor Sun
    XD
    Keep up the good work!
    I eagerly await your next installation~

  6. MPToki

    Yay A New Chapter!!!! =D
    Thank You for Updating!!!! =D
    This chapter was just so…. I had to keep my laughter in, because I am not suposed to be on my laptop, but shh.
    So, Pink really is no Scarlet…
    Aww. I thought she was, but at the same time I doubted her when she put the dark element in Sun.
    All I have left to say is “Good Luck, Grisa!!!”
    And Thank You again =D

  7. Nakamura_Nara

    I had sort of guessed that Scarlet wasn’t Pink, that seemed a little too odd, but who the heck is she? Even Sun can’t figure it out…..
    Ah, I can’t wait for the next volume to come out! This is so good.

  8. Conclusive evidence that Pink ≠ Scarlet! If Scarlet is also a lich, maybe the eponymous undying lich in the next book refers to her? Anyways, great conclusion to another LoSK book! Looking forward to book 5 and the return of some severely missed characters. The chapter titles look ominous indeed! By the way, does the next book take place right after Sun’s confinement is over, or is there a considerable time lapse?

    And… oh yeah! I wonder what Pink wanted to see Roland for?

  9. kayue

    The Sun Knight is the leader of the twelve holy knights…
    The Judgment Knight is the keeper of the Sun Knight.
    ;)

    • Mouse

      Who the heck is Scarlet, then?!!
      Oh, and…Judgement is my favorite character, which made me enjoy this extra even more xD

    • Alyss

      @kayue
      Neo is the potential would-be murderer of the Sun Knight…
      And the Pope is the one who must watch over them all and sigh in helplessness.
      >:P

  10. beta

    The plot thickens! That said, I would not be particularly surprised if it promptly thins again because it turns out that it was entirely Sun’s fault in the first place.

    Also, here’s hoping he at least tells them about Scarlet offscreen. I’d say it’s a coin toss though, because no protagonist ever has been capable of telling everyone else potentially critical information.

  11. starwarrior

    I was actually thinking of that theory while this little meeting was going on. That will teach Sun for doing all those things to Ice. Lesus really did make Grisia make him wish he was dead. All week i was wondering what his punishment would be. A job well done, PR!

  12. Persimmon

    What a perfect punishment for Sun! I feel sorry for him but Adair will probably be happy to have some time off. Thanks for the chapter!

  13. .:Rin:.

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OMG AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

    Thanks for the chapter PR!!

    …………..HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  14. OFlannery

    WOW!!! So who really is SCARLET? A rival lich?
    I wonder….

    I can’t believe Judgement though! He really does know the perfect punishment…

  15. NeoFuuka

    Poor Grisia! XD
    Lesus caught him by suprise and even Adair couldn’t help.
    *shakes head* you really shouldn’t mess with Lesus *shudder* (or try to lie to him.. or just get on his bad side..)
    Oh well, see you in a month Grisia~!

    Thnx for the trans!

  16. AnnieTi

    Yes! Yes! Yes! Hurray!!! It’s here!!!
    Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!! Thank you for the translation!
    Wow, Yu Wo is really skilful in releasing tension with humour! I even didn’t realise how tense I was before laughing!
    Damn! I’m stuffed with questions! What did actually happen to Sun? Was he lying to Judgement? Who’s Scarlet? Did Sun want to protect the rest of the Twelve Holy Knights? From what? Argh, Yu Wo, you made me passionate about your next novel! And my only consolation is bunch of people waiting for translation with me!

  17. CrazyCat

    Though a lot of people here are laughing and saying how awesome Judgment Knight is, I think that this was actually a very important no-laughing-matter chapter. This is the first time we see Sun actually in a hopeless state with his best friend who is now taking everything that is happening with Sun seriously… I’m not completely sure, but I think this chapter has more meaning to it… (OMG, this is what happens when you’re in Honors English Class…)

    • AnnieTi

      @CrazyCat
      There are pretty many no-laughing-matter chapters in this book. And I really appreciate author’s method of revealing characters’ personalities step by step. In such a way not only the characters appeared to be quite deep, but also their relationship became more complex. I value the book more and more with each novel.

  18. Anonymous

    While I semi-deeply pity Sun, I also laugh. In any case, if he is forgiven with just a month of documents (compared to the suffering that certain characters have gone through in the past on numerous occasions…) then it’s probably a case of getting out of the situation lightly.

    He’s hindered I note by truly not knowing what happened during the time of absolutely-lost memory; we as well are naturally curious about that.

    And now, of course, there’s the held-back revelation that Scarlet is in fact not necessarily Pink, which should result in quite an interesting conversation with Pink in a month’s time (for us, not just him!), one way or another. *looks forward to!*

  19. XSanguine8

    We shouldn’t let Pink off the hook yet, I seem to remember Scarlet saying Grisia was her apprentice, maybe Pink can be in more than one body…

    • X

      @XSanguine8
      I agree. Or perhaps Scarlet was merely one of Pink’s servants or followers? Wouldn’t be surprised if Pink can force others to do her bidding.

  20. Nimue

    LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL !!!
    Many thanks for the translation. So worth it! I laughed with every line of it!
    I’m DYING to know what really happened!

  21. Mulox

    Thank’s for your awesome work as usual. I hope you realize how much grateful we are too you guys .
    I also hope Lesus understands that there’s no way Grisia won’t get revenge for that! Will it be a lesson? Yes . Will he do something like that again? He will think twice about it. But fair punishment or not, Grisia will get some petty revenge .

  22. Kyoumi

    Poor Sun. Not to mention he’s blind. Being blind, confined, and forced to do paper work. Lesus sure is harsh. But that’s what make so all the more lovable

    • @Kyoumi
      Gotta hand it to Sun though. No matter how pathetically he begged and tried to escape, he never once brought up his blindness as an excuse.

    • Raylight

      @黒
      It might have something to do with the fact that Leaf felt extremely guilty towards Sun because Sun sacrificed his eyes for him, and also didn’t tell him about it. Grisia might be feeling guilty towards lying to Leaf and making him feel bad, so he didn’t dare to push the ‘blind’ issue further XD

    • @Raylight
      I know a lot of it’s because Grisia felt guilty, but how often does guilt actually stop him from trying to weasel out of things? I’m sure he doesn’t want Leaf to feel bad about what happened, but he also doesn’t want people to treat him differently or pity him.

    • lulumoon

      @黒
      I don’t think Sun can use the blindness excuse. Ice KNOWS that Sun can read even while blind; he was the guinea pig for the necromancy spells, and he more than likely told the Judgement Knight about it.

  23. Sasifras

    Ah, I love Judge.
    “…Actually, I’m not a theory type of person.”
    I wouldn’t be either under that one. :)

  24. SnowStorm

    This is so good. But is expecting that Pink and Scarlet were the same person… Oh, well.
    I didn’t get the bit where Ice rubbed Sun’s head… Was that referring to him being mad at Sun for losing his memories or something???

    • snowrabbit

      @SnowStorm
      guess it has something to do with how grisia keep mussing up ice’s head when he’s tied up on the unicorn.
      what happened to the unicorn, btw?

      i’m with CrazyCat on this chapter.. there is something more.. i just cant find it yet..
      gonna reread later :)

    • Raylight

      @SnowStorm
      It’s actually him taking revenge for the time when Sun messed up his hair during the whole journey XD I know it’s hard to get, cause I didn’t get it at first too XD

    • @SnowStorm
      At first I thought it was Ice trying to console Sun, like saying ‘there, there’ or something, but getting revenge for earlier makes more sense.

    • lulumoon

      @SnowStorm
      Is it for messing up his hair, or for revealing that Ice was also able to ride the unicorn? Remember the condition for the unicorn to accept a rider?

    • 15B

      @lulumoon
      I don’t think Ice really minds that he’s a virgin. He mostly stays in his room, making himself happy by making other happy with his sweets.~
      However, I’d be fairly irritated as well if my hair was messed up for such a long period of time! Especially if I was tied to a unicorn and was unable to fix it!

  25. immasweetslovinggirl

    PFFT AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OH OH OH OH MY GOSH THIS IS AWESOME HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA SUN GOT HIS JUST DESSERTS!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHOH I CAN’T STOP LAUGHING THIS IS AWESOME THANK YOU PRINCEREVOLUTION FOR MAKING MY LIFE BETTER!!!!!!

  26. Ozzien

    Does anyone else get the feeling that Sun might be lying when he says he doesn’t know?

  27. MNeilG

    Judgement really did what he threatened from the previous volume. exposing sun in front of the rest of the knights and punishing him severely. i wonder if sun can sneakily lighten his month-long confinement?

    • @MNeilG
      What I wonder is what Judgement is actually telling everyone, outside the Twelve Holy Knights, about what happened to Sun. There’s no way he can actually say he locked the Sun Knight in solitary confinement for a month. The only plausible explanation I can think of is that he’s on sick leave like Adair, hahaha.

    • Alyss

      @黒
      “In order to fully experience the God of Light’s harshness and test his resolve and dedication to the God of Light’s benevolence, the Sun Knight has decided to undertake a noble endeavor. He wishes to be confined for a month from his brothers and the outside world, to immerse himself fully in the teaching of the God of Light and also in order to better understand and sympathize with the children who must suffer through such harsh punishments under the strict God of Light’s hand, *blah* God of Light’s benevolence *blah* he is too kind for doing it, and will learn of the God of Light’s harshness *blah*…”
      Judge is just as good at BSing stuff as Sun; he probably wouldn’t be able to understand Sun’s nonsense without at least a little skill in the area himself >:P

  28. RandomAnon

    Currently wondering how they expect a blind person to correct documents for a month. I actually thought that it would be that Neo kidnapped him for an adventure and left grisia in a random place to find his way back on his own after he passed out from being hit on the head (or had his memory erased for his own good after adventure). I would never have considered a second lich. Couldn’t pink control more than one body at once? I don’t see her with a sister or anything, unless becoming a lich is a hereditary inclination. But from the group thinking that Grisia bringing up the topic of Pink as a subject-changer, has he not told them about Scarlet? Wouldn’t Ice have wondered how Grisia found a Necromancy book? *sigh* just rambling cuz I’m tired I think.

  29. *giggles like mad* Oh Sun, like Judge would have really let you get away with doing all those horrible things with no punishment. XD I do hope Adair enjoys his well-deserved vacation. =P lol.

  30. Winter

    wait……how will Grisia correct documents if he’s blind? I mean the only other time he “read” a book was helped with elemental reading, and the distinctive rock/earth element. How’s he gonna accomplish this?

    • Ely

      @Winter
      I agree, though to somehow overcome this issue i think it won’t really be mentioned on how he will actually complete the paperwork

    • AnnieTi

      @Ely
      Hey, he actually read a Necromancy book, don’t you remember?! So paper work isn’t that big deal I think.

    • Book Girl

      I think it’s because of the ink, he can sense the ink, therefore he need only memorize the patterns of ink that produce letters. That’s probably part of what he was doing in his little ‘blindness training’ thing he did. And while he can’t distinguish color, he is extremely welll with elements, so it would be easy to sense the difference between paper and ink.
      As for Scarlet, I think that she’s Pink’s real ‘new’ form, and the ‘new Pink’ is just a secondary form, a ‘spare.’ That, or Scarlet probably bears a grudge against Neo or another Sun Knight, likely from after retirement. If one passed away, just head right on down the line… Better yet, hit his whole kingdom.
      I also think the color-referencing names is a clue. Pink and Scarlet are definitely connected, if not sisters, maybe something a little more concerning. There’s definitely some reading into this that can be done.

    • starwarrior

      @Book Girl
      Couldn’t we accept the possibility that there may be a stalker necromancer out there? Maybe Grisia encountered Scarlet before only in a different form and not just in Pink’s situation.

    • Alyss

      @AnnieTi
      Hey! Don’t belittle paperwork! For Sun, paperwork is a BIG, BIG deal. Though probably not in the way everyone else seems to be making it >:P
      I think that if he can read a book, he should be fine.

    • AnnieTi

      @Alyss
      *chuckling* Yea, you’re right! For Sun, paperwork is a REAL deal! Though it’s not that he can’t do it (according to the short stories), he just doesn’t want to. And the extent of him not wanting is extremely huge!

    • dollyfishe

      @Diacus
      someone that can write will be able to write even after s/he blind afterwards. though the real trouble is how someone can really write when he cant really see anything @@
      in Grisia case, isnt he actually can see through the elemental reading ?
      well, i guess probably Roland will be a great help since he is the only one that’s ordered to take care of Sun ? and to think that Judge is the only one freely entering the confinement room … oh my … what a sly Judge to keep Sun for himself :p

    • noomico

      @dollyfishe
      Dear judge , i know how much u care about ur beloved Sun , but as u can see u cant keep this poor pretty handsome cute gorgeous boy from getting hurt even if u locked him for a year !! and i don’t think that Sun will learn some thing from this punishment and its clear that he accept only because he want to be punished for what he did !! but at least he will not keep thinking about what he did because he will be busy to deal with all thes paper if t

  31. momiji

    Now Sun can’t escape! hahahahaha Well at least it’s only for a month and not longer. I’d love to see what happens to Sun after this punishment!
    Thanks for the chapter!!!

  32. dollyfishe

    when Judge slammed the table … me had a cold sweat :S
    but laugh a lot after that hahhahahhahaha what a hard day for Sun ^^ may be the other realize now that Sun and Judge are friend that are not friend ? hihihihihi

    • kanukka

      @dollyfishe
      I think they’ve already known it. Seeing how they behaved in second book’s extra chapter. For me it looks like they knew each other quite good.
      Great chapter, thanks PR <3

  33. Sky Eclipse

    Haha!! This was one of the funny chapters that I really liked xD
    Poor Sun~
    And thanks for the great translation as always :>

  34. 00Misty

    Sun is still my favorite character though. Honestly, this was entertaining but if Sun really wanted to get out of this situation he would have. He would have said it was Judge’s fault for having someone follow him which meant he had to escape to get some privacy and when he did that he obviously felt some kind of disturbance on that path. No doubt Sun did not give himself amnesia and teleport himself to the other country. And as for Sun causing everyone trouble? please, the need for money was engraved onto him by his teacher and that had a domino effect on everything after.
    But I do like Judge, and in this chapter really he was so worried he was angry. Its kind of cute that he now has a reason to keep Sun in a confined space…he literally locked him up from the rest of the world ^_^

  35. noodlecharm

    Wow… poor Sun… I just want to read it seriously because of Sun’s predicament but I just can’t… correcting papers??? whew. it was hard enough for him when he was not blind… poor Sun… no escape this time… i actually pity him… but then he deserved it. and lesus was scary… *shivers*… and i’m confused about scarlet and pink… … … … Adair finally gets to rest! XD loved thisextra chapter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for translating!

  36. NanoLaughing

    Holy God of Light, THAT WAS SO WONDERFUL! Hahahaha! Poor Grisia has to correct documents for a whole month, Judgment! “Letting a blind man correct documents for a whole month!” Finally, now Ceo can finally have some rest!

  37. d1r31

    Thank you for the translation! After all the trouble Sun put them through, the comeuppance was well-deserved! So who is Scarlet?!?

  38. Vi

    Looks like some people have forgotten Sun learnt how to read using the necromancy book. He can sense the elements well enough to distinguish the ink from the paper. He could have bluffed through not being able to read, except Ice saw him reading that book.

  39. Yenna

    Wah ha haha ha!!!!!! I laughed so much at the end! The “in theory” vs. “in practice”!!! XD

  40. Citarra

    OMG, poor Sun. I think this will give every one of the holy knights some revenge. (Finally Adair gets a break, too.)

    Thank you so much for the new chapter!

  41. Little Writer

    LOL. I read this chapter, get interrupted for about an hour, come back, and read it again.
    I do have to wonder, can Sun even correct documents? He has been pushing all of his work to Adair, Storm, and Roland, after all.
    ROFL, the ultimate trio’s revenge! Leaf, Ice, and Roland…
    LOL, that made me laugh so, so much. This chapter was so funny! But, I also think it shows how deeply the Sun Knight’s colleagues do care for him… It’s so sweet! Even if that “care” is in making voodoo dolls, baking cookies, and following another man around-even to the bathroom.

    • RuneIce

      @Little Writer
      Nice isn’t it? *wink*
      This whole chapter was awesomely good and funny and *cough* a bit sadly-entertaining (for Grisia of course) *cough*
      Definitely can’t wait to read the prologue for Chap. 5 : The Sealed Sun.
      The Sealed Sun…*chuckles* soooooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward for that.

      **All hail to Judgement!
      ….and break a leg Sun! *ahem*

    • dollyfishe

      @RuneIce
      *SADISTIC* found :p
      i left the thinking and imagining part to u as i’m lazy doing so, as i laugh at all ur comment :D

    • dollyfishe

      @dollyfishe
      RuneIce, isnt the next chappie will be about the previous Sun aka Neo ?? looks like it to me *after take a peek on the title list*
      geeee … i said i left all the thinking and imagining to u, but in the end i cant resist the charm of the next chapter list title and take a real peek ~><~
      *gigle* drowning on my imagination on the next chappie story wahhahahahha

  42. Aurelia

    Haha I love this!
    Can’t believe Grisia would have to correct documents… It’ll probably sound like
    “The merciful God of Light would never agree to allow the holy knights under his charge to suffer in the harsh coldness of winter; thus, a suitable change of uniforms would benefit them greatly. Only then can they perform their duties under the radiance of light and blessings from the benevolent God of Light.”
    … -omits more convoluted sentences-
    I think he’d be so sick of the words “God of Light”…. xD It’s just like making him do lines…
    Oh dear, I think even Storm would have a hard time trying to decipher what he’s trying to say xD (much less the others)
    But then again, the confinement chamber is rigged anyway.
    Though he can’t get out, it doesn’t mean the loyal dogs- I mean, members of the Sun Knight Platoon can’t give him desserts…
    Or something.
    Anyway, thank you so much for the chapter!
    I can’t wait for the epilogue and the next book! :D love you guys.

  43. Shoetsu Otaku

    HAHAHAHAHAHHAHHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…
    Oh, poor, poor, poor Grisa, but he deserved it

  44. Mizuhino

    Despite the title, I still think ruffling Sun’s feathers would be worse than ruffling Judge’s. Of course, the extent of offense required to get to either of them (assuming Sun is himself) is extreme enough that any punishment would likely be very much deserved, but Sun’s warped enough that the punishment is going to be messed up.

    As for Judge’s verdict in this case, though Sun did protest that he didn’t want to be confined, Sun didn’t try to use his authority to escape punishment himself. Sun knows he’s the head, so if Judge doesn’t have the authority to punish him, you can bet Sun knows it. So why is Sun being punished? Sun wants to be. He has his memory back; he knows what he did. Is this really Judge’s feathers being ruffled, or has Sun ruffled his own feathers? Which is the worse punishment? I wouldn’t want to be in Sun’s head right now.

    • @Mizuhino
      I concur with your analysis! The only thing I might add is that sometimes Sun deals out punishment if you don’t go along with his every whim. (Though that could probably be classified more as Sun being annoying rather than a real punishment.) I definitely wouldn’t want to be in Sun’s head right now either. We’ve learned enough about Sun’s personality from previous books to know that he doesn’t forgive himself easily.

    • Mizuhino

      @黒
      No kidding he doesn’t. It’s a good thing he has comrades readily willing to forgive him (on the important matters, at least).

      And, yes, I was considering his usual whims as fortifying exercises and ways of expressing his love. ^_~ As between any close friends/family members, these can be annoying but endearing at the same time.

    • LennyThynn

      @Mizuhino
      This makes sense, and it’s what I was vaguely thinking in the back of my head, too. It seems very like Grisia.

    • Reika

      @Mizuhino

      I agree. If I had to choose, I would rather ruffle Lesus’ feathers than Grisia’s. The confinement thing is funny but Sun deserved it. I mean, I was gonna say “he got off with no punishment?” based on the last chapter but with this I am content.

  45. Random_Dood

    I feel REALLY bad for Sun. I mean, seriously…. this should be titled the legend of the suffering of the sun knight. Sure you can argue having the world’s greatest overpowered backup brigade to be a big plus… but at what cost. He obviously hates his job, he hates his status. He wants to have sex but can’t while the rest of his knights can easily get some of they care or bother to try. He can’t even drink as much as he likes. Seriously, does he have ANYTHING to be happy about? Okay, he has some friends (who don’t help make him happier about his job), and some overpowered allies (who do nothing but toss him into one unreasonable situation after another – I’m looking at you former sun knight). At this cost, he gets smacked around, trolled and tricked into some nonsense or another, and then has to bail people out (read giving up eyesight to bail leaf out from death). No wonder he’d rather become a goddamn overlord. The normal people make fun of him for goodness sakes. I pray to the God of Light to give the poor bastard a break, otherwise… this isn’t a comedy, its a tragedy.

  46. LennyThynn

    OH MAN.

    I’ve read this through, what, ten times now, and I like it more each time. Serious yet funny.

    What I’m really wondering about, though, is what on earth Neo will do when he finds out his student earned himself a solitary confinement … I’ve a feeling Grisia would rather face another few months in solitary rather than find out …

  47. Dragon_ANGL

    Although this may be a bit late…there is another reason to believe Pink and Scarlet are connected, yet not the same. Remember the Red Priest and the Pink Sorceress of Slayers? Rezo, I believe, was the name of the Red Priest, whereas Lina Inverse was the “pink” sorceress…something about how each magician, upon graduation at their academy or w.e, had to choose a specific color…

  48. Listening Daisy

    @1, remember (I think) he wrote that recipe for the princess and he read the books on necromancy, he can also tell how many buttons are on a shirt, but he can’t see color so as long as the paper and ink are made of two different elements he can tell what the words say.

    I also wonder who Pink is because she said that the Cathedral of the Shadow God were her subordinates, so could she be an aspect or the Shadow God? My memory is terrible so if this was already answered, sorry.

  49. noomico

    poor sun but its OK at least all them will know how Sun is importing for them !!the month he’ll be away from them will let all of them to realize they Owe Grisia many favor :)

    • noomico

      @noomico
      and for Sun !! he can us his magic power to read, but to use it to read thousand papers + writing + whole month !!he will push him self too much !! but we know Grisia he will find a way :) ,, Don’t be upset Sun they are doing that because they are worried about!!u and doesn’t want to u hurt your self and i know that u know so stop worrying them and me U STUPID i almost cry when u are getting hurt >_<"!!!

  50. Spica

    So far this is my favorite volume. We can see Grisia acting like the asshole he is without any qualms!! He almost got laid (you reap what you sow)!! The knights killed a dragon!! The start of the volume made my heart skip a beat in fear!! I got duped by Scarlet bc I thought she was Pink (I still think it’s her… bc of what she said)!! Amnesia/Identity Crisis trope!!!

    RIP in pieces (in confinement) Grisia.

    As always thanks for translating the novel :-) I am very happy.

  51. Ahn

    Serves him right for what all mischief he made during his amnesty spell. Sun needs to be punished and the punishment is apt. Still, why do I think he will get in trouble despite being locked up and made to do real work for once.

    Who is Scarlet? If she isn’t related to Pink, that’s a hell of a problem ….imagine someone capable of harming Sun, obliterating his memories and sending him on a wild goose chase into a far-off kingdom.
