Big and Little Sun Go Go 27: The Player’s Summon

Big and Little Sun Go Go

Original novel in Chinese by: 御 我 (Yu Wo)

Part 27: The Player’s Summon—translated by Simone (proofread by Arcedemius & Minthe; C/E edited by lucathia)

“Side quest updated: Choose between guns or concealable weapons. Use a concealable weapon to defeat ten enemies armed with guns. Reward: fifty points.”

Fifty points!

This was the first time Grisia and Elaro had heard such a large number.

Grisia immediately said, “Charles, we need guns!”

Puzzled, Elaro asked, “Teacher, the quest mentions we need to use a concealable weapon.”

Grisia glared at his student and scolded, “Use a concealable weapon to defeat ‘enemies armed with guns.’ Charles has told us so much about how powerful guns are. Not knowing anything about guns, you’re still planning to defeat enemies armed with them? Is that how I taught you?”

Hearing this, Elaro was frustrated by his own carelessness. He kept forgetting they were not familiar with this world. He might as well go and gather more stealth weapons. When he could carry no more, he put them all in the infinite backpack. After going through the supermarket and the military goods store, the weight of the backpack had increased substantially. Even Elaro had started to consider what they should keep and what they could discard, fearing it would otherwise affect the upcoming ten-hour-long journey.

Big and Little Sun Go Go 26: Armed to the Teeth

Big and Little Sun Go Go

Part 26: Armed to the Teeth—translated by Simone (proofread by J Tao; C/E edited by lucathia)

“Congratulations, the players obtained the Leaf Clan’s Artifact.”

A leaf-shaped pendant appeared in Elaro’s hands. The leaf seemed like an unassuming, authentic leaf, but when he touched it, he discovered that it bore a kind of illusion that made it only seem like a real leaf.

Of course Grisia was elated to have received an object that could automatically treat serious injuries, but presently, he and Elaro both looked somewhat puzzled. Elaro hesitantly asked, “‘The Pope’s Veil,’ is that referring to our Pope?”

Grisia chuckled. A veil, a beautiful, sixteen-year-old young man, who could it be but our Pope?

Elaro paused for a moment, then asked, “Teacher, the next worlds we go to, could—
could our world be a possibility?”

Grisia considered it and said, “Perhaps it is possible.”

Update: March 2021

March Chapters
  1. GOD V3Epilogue: Character Introductions
  2. Big and Little Sun Go Go 26: Armed to the Teeth
  3. No Hero V9C4: Merciless
  4. Eclipse Hunter V3C2: Simulation, Reality, Death

Gasp, what is this sad looking March? Well, we’re pretty much out of our stockpiled chapters for most of our series, so we’re down to the wire every month, except for Eclipse Hunter. That one is going strong in terms of translations. (Watch, next month, we come back with only EH chapters~)

We might be able to finish another chapter or two near the end of March or beginning of April. So, you’ll either see the chapter list grow, and/or you’ll see an earlier April update as we finish those chapters. Since by the time we finish, it’s probably April already anyway. We have just the finale left of ILTv4, which wraps up the case, “In the Name of God.” V5 and V6 focus on a different case. We also have DEv6c1 in the works, which is a scene-setting chapter.

We just posted the character intros to GODv3~, which has two cool character designs featuring some of the main cast. We hope to start v4 soon. Unfortunately v4 is the last volume of the new edition that has been published, and v5 is nowhere in sight. At the very least, we do have the old edition that we can continue our translations off of, and it would likely be easier to translate as well. The prose is a bit simpler, and the chapters shorter. (I would miss the expanded scenes and polish of the new edition, however, and some things might end up not completely matching up)

We have a new ebooks ready for you, thanks to Listening Daisy!

Eclipse Hunter V2
Dominion’s End V5

In the last poll, the kids have replaced BTS! :O The companions gave them a good run for their money, but in the end, the kids won. I guess we won’t get to see a golden slime, a meatbun, a dragon, a tree, a unicorn, a phoenix, or a flying sword on stage. Though wait, we wouldn’t be able to see the flying sword in the first place, huh…

This month’s poll is abut who you would rather tick off! Uh oh… dangerous choices! Anon, you have asked a very dangerous question.

Do you have any poll ideas? Throw them at us here~

GOD —The Beginning of the End— Volume 3: The End Begins

Original novel in Chinese by: 御 我 (Yu Wo)

Afterword—translated by lucathia (proofread by elisa)

The largest change in this volume was Saiximili’s personality, conduct, and some of his small quirks.

In the old edition, Saiximili’s personality was much more bumbling, and he didn’t show much responsibility toward his nation, though this could be because I depicted too little of the avian nation. The importance of his own nation to Saiximili was not shown properly. Anyway, when I examined this later on, I felt that this kind of Saiximili did not match the Saiximili I had in mind.

Perhaps he really doesn’t like being a king much, and isn’t very good at it either, but he is still the king, and he does his best to be a good king. Therefore, I highlighted his responsibility toward his position as king more. Finally, the king, Saiximili, is properly depicted.

Other changes include strengthening the guard captain Barna and Markham’s presence, paving the way for future plot related details regarding the avian nation.

GOD —The Beginning of the End— Volume 3: The End Begins

Original novel in Chinese by: 御 我 (Yu Wo)

Chapter 10: Encroaching Death—translated by lucathia (proofread by Trespasserby & Arcedemius)

Dan frowned in thought. Since Shooting Star is the Guide of Doom and the Fischer Merchant Guild has the Guide of Existence, then why is the Goldenstyle Merchant Guild that I belong to searching for the Stones of Original Sin?

Saiximili had already confirmed that there were only two guides and two starseers, so it was impossible for the Goldenstyle Merchant Guild to have a guide. Since it’s impossible for the Goldenstyle Merchant Guild to have a guide or even a starseer, then how did the guild learn about something like the Stones of Original Sin?

Just as Dan was thinking of asking for Saiximili’s opinion, a pair of slim, pale hands rested behind his neck before he could open his mouth. The touch on his neck was a little cold and highly unsettling.

Dan’s expression abruptly changed, but he did not duck out of reach. There was only one person who possessed the ability to silently approach him from behind without anyone’s notice, and who possessed the sheer cheekiness to do such a boring thing.

“Darling, I haven’t heard anything from you ever since you got on the boat. I’ve been so worried!”

Just like I thought. Dan sighed. I don’t think I’ll be able to get used to this kind of greeting even after experiencing it for another one hundred years.
