SERIES SYNOPSIS:
During one of our arguments, my younger brother taunted me, claiming that I only knew how to depend on guys to get me through MMOs. In a fit of anger, I was spurred on by his words and decided to defeat my brother without depending on anyone else. By some coincidence, a new game called “Second Life” was about to go on the market and thus I started from scratch as a player. What’s more, I was the first person ever to log onto the game. The beautiful GM told me that I could have one wish granted… Humph! I. Want. To. Become. A. Guy!
Shit, I accidentally became too super-ultra-incredibly handsome, now there’s a beautiful GM with designs on my virtue, waaaaah…!
… OH MY GOD! A girl wants to make me her trophy husband!
Heavens, what a hottie… Wait, what? He’s actually GAY and he’s hitting on me?! Go to hell! When I’m a girl you’re not interested, so why the hell do you want me now?
With an incredibly hilarious main character, incredibly bizarre companions, and an incredible journey of growing up and self-discovery, how will things pan out? Even God is playing a guessing game…
DETAILS:
½ Prince is a series of Chinese novels written by Yu Wo (御我), spanning eight volumes. A manhua adaptation is currently being serialized in the Dragon Youth Comic magazine, drawn by Cai Hong Zhong (蔡鸿忠), with six volumes published thus far. There is also a sequel to the original novel (spanning one volume) and a short story crossover between ½ Prince and Won’t Kill, another of Yu Wo’s novels. There is currently no official English translation of the novels or manhua.

Awesome series! ½ Prince is one of my favourites. I always thought that Chinese novels had to be epic poems and traditional, or sappy romances, but ½ Prince is epic in so many ways! Prince is a really good main character, and as a girl, I can relate to the sexism in the world. I fell in love with the author and illustrator the moment I read this series. X3

This series has all types of scenes: action, comedy, adventure, drama and romance (maybe?) in just the right amount. It’s like food with ingredients that have all sorts of tastes mixed together and ending up being a super-delicious dish.

Wow, I never new this series was this popular! I started to read the manga on OneManga, but only 5 chapters were up. This was back in ’08. I did like the chapters, but there was so little, and I gave up on it. But seeing it again, and so alive, along with the Novel, which I had no idea about, I’m excited to start reading. I can’t wait to see how things unfold. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place. Gotta love the internet! ^^

One of the best mangas that i ever read. The story line wont make you bored and i really like it because it take place in MMO world(yea,reminds me of my experiences playing MMORPG XD)

For you, whose mother language isn’t this one, I think you’re English is excellent (I only have one language). But, we don’t all go around eating pig intestines, at least I’ve never tried it; because I’m not all that adventurous. I found 1/2 prince novels translated in Thai at my local bookstore~ woohoo~
The words are actually very similar to the actual novel but apparently the art is drawn by another person (which still makes it look awesome~:D)

This series is just awesome! It’s filled with action, adventure, violence, and anything else shounen that I love but having a main character that I, being a girl, can greatly identify with. Plus it’s just hilarious.

I love this series. I recently started reading it and I caught up to the most recent one in a few hours at 1 or 2 AM. Prince is definitely an amazing character, she gets to break the expected role of wimpy female and go for the lead heroine/hero(haha). Gui is amazing!! I AM SO ROOTING FOR HIM!!!

I can’t believe I havn’t posted since July! It’s been a while, but I still regularly check for updates on 1/2Prince. I’m gonna be cheeky and ask now, are we having a few new chapters at the end of the month? ‘Cos’ if we only get one chapter a month then it will be ages before 1/2Prince is finished. Have you ever read a book and then thought the movie version wasn’t good enough or was lacking some parts? The manga/manhua is a bit like this; in that it can’t encorporate everything from the novel, so I wish that this site could catch up soon :-) because reading the manga first is spoiling the novel for everyone (although I love the artwork).

We have a set release cycle during the first week of every month. So you can expect the next batch of chapters sometime between Nov 1 and Nov 7.
I can’t make any guarantees on the number of chapters we’re going to release, but we are doing our best to get as much done as our schedules would permit.
I doubt we can catch up to the manhua anytime soon without compromising on quality (a chapter of the novel takes about a month to go through our translation process, while manhua scanlator groups can generally get a chapter done in less than a week).
In any case, just think of the chapters like fine wine. In order to truly appreciate it, you have to savor it slowly. =]

Have any of you ever read the Shiki manga/novel by Ono Fuyumi? They have some chapters missing is the middle, but I highly recommend it. It starts out as a horror but it slowly turns into a tragedy; the art is great and the plot is amazing, you should read it. I think the novel is in chinese and I was wondering if ‘Halfprince.wordpress.com’ could please consider tranlating it? x

1/2 Prince really is a piece of beautiful artwork.. This manga is very smooth in story line and dint get away from its theme.. The main character is very cool in his/her way and so does the other main support characters.. Hope that this manga will continue brings us more funny jokes and strong interesting story…

Never thought that I would miss this treasure box until now…
as a big fan of fantasy and VRMMO theme novel < which is quite rare to find – i have read Sword Art Online, and Moonlight Sculpture to where it has already translated. Now that I've read the latest chapter update of 1/2 Prince, I can only kneel down and give you all my gratitude.
Even if the title is a bit too shoujo-ish for me at some point, it's still amazing with incredible sense of humor which overall can compare to the other said 2 series mention. They each have their own unique feature and each one is interesting in their own way so I would also recommend to those who interest. Funny that the three novels mention is from different but neighbor countries.
