February 2012 Chapters
  1. ½ Prince V6C6: The NPC Revolt
  2. ½ Prince V6C7: The Day Before Setting Off
  3. The Legend of Sun Knight V3C3: “Start the Adventure”
  4. The Legend of Sun Knight V3C4: “The Mandatory Antagonist for an Adventure - A Cool and Handsome Character”

Hey guys!

First and foremost, the next two rounds of the tournament will be posted in a seperate post in a couple of days. In the mean time we have a few important pieces of news.

1. Our staff have voted and we’re happy to announce the winners of the Tournament Rounds 1 and 2 writing contests! For Round 1, Prince vs Sun Knight, we have Munch and Round 2, Ming Huang vs Blaze Knight, is Saddistic_Me. You can check out their entries here. Thanks to everyone who entered!

2. PR! officially has an android app! The features include: Alerts when a novel gets updated, turn novel images on/off, turn text zoom on/off, cache chapters for off-line reading, save chapters to phones memory or SD card, saves position in chapters, and download a whole volume at once. Many thanks to Andy for making it, and you can find it here: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.andytank.princereader.

3. As we start to approach the end of 1/2 Prince, we’re considering – considering – translating novels from other languages into English. This, of course, will depend entirely on whether we can find other translators who are interested in working with us. In particular we’re thinking of picking up Id, aka The Greatest Fantasy Fusion (you can find the manwa here. Some of the novel was translated here, but they seemed to have dropped it about a year ago). So we pose the question:  Are there any Korean translators who would be interested in helping us out? If so, please contact us at [email protected]. If there’s anyone else who knows of a book in a different language they’d like to see translated, let us know! (Any books MUST not already have an official English translation.)

Update: (To clear any confusion) We still plan on translating more of Yu Wo’s works! We’re just looking into some other things to work on as well =]

    Wow, that’s great! I can’t translate, but I’d be interested in reading Id (I’m actively following the manwa)! Congrats and thanks for the app! And congrats to the winners too!!!

    You guys/girls do a great job!!!!

  2. D@yw@lker

    I’m looking forward to the new chapters :) So this time, there are even two of each Series !!!
    Congratulations to the winners :)
    I would gladly help you out with a good tipp for a new novel, but unfortunately i do not know of any, which are not currently in translation by other groups, because i just can’t speak that language to find any new ones :D

  3. Gohankuten

    How about some more of Yu Wo’s novels? Isn’t there that one that’s a parallel of Sun Knight where it is based on the first generation knights? I’m sure there are some other interesting ones by her and I’m sure she wouldn’t mind since she did give her consent for both HP and SK.

    I didn’t really like the manwa for Id so didn’t really get hooked into it. I really don’t have others I would suggest.

    • theresay

      @Gohankuten
      That one about the first generation 12 Holy Knights is not published yet, so far Yu Wo only released two self-published short stories. According to her schedule (that she mentioned about a year ago), after LSK she will first work on “Finding Roland” (a sequel of sorts to LSK) because it’s shorter, then the first generation.

  4. angel

    OMG, yay!! Downloaded and installed the app :) Thanks in advance for the new chaps haha.

  5. hariseldon

    Thank you for translations again.
    As for a new novel request. There is one I want to read badly. It is originally a japanese light novel but I found the chinese translation of it too.
    Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei
    There are a few teasers for it in baka-tsuki, but nobody really plans translate it at there. So if you take a look at it you might become interested I hope. (Please think about it.)

    Here is the baka-tsuki link:

    Here is the chinese translation:

  6. Jasae Bushae

    Im estatic to hear you have plans beyond 1/2 prince ^^ A bit surprised though that it wont be a work by Yu Wu though…
    Looks like a good sstory though all the same ^^

    • Shadow Rebirth

      Don’t worry, we definitely already have plans to translate another of Yu Wo’s works – we’re just looking into a few other things to work on as well =]

    • Shadow Rebirth

      I won’t say this is 100% sure, but probably Female Warrior because it’s LSK’s prequel. We’re also considering doing No Hero.

    • dahlys

      @Jasae
      No Hero is the sequel to Eclipse Hunter, which is currently being tlsed by OSS. But Daren is no longer a teenager in No Hero, he is a young adult going to university.

    • Gohankuten

      @dahlys
      If No Hero is the sequel to Eclipse Hunter and OSS is translating it then isn’t it logical that OSS will do No Hero as well once Eclipse Hunter is done? Also didn’t even know that OSS had a novel translating portion lol.

    • dahlys

      @Gohan & Jasae
      One of PR’s translators, Asmodea, is already working on No Hero (http://asmodeatranslations.blogspot.com/), which was why we were discussing doing Kill No More instead. As for Kill No More’s story: Synopsis. Kill No More takes place in a sci-fi/fantasy world with knights, mages, and…Gundam. We will post a Kill No More vs 1/2 Prince crossover story if we decide to do this [probably].

    • Jasae Bushae

      @Dahlys
      Oh thanks alot for that dahlys! ^^
      hmm…i think ill wait for eclipse hunter is completed before i begin reading no hero…

      PFFFFFT WOW! that synopsis combined with the picture of the world you painted sounds like the silliest thing ever! XD
      I know ive asked alot of question already but….theres a kill no more/1/2 prince crossover story? O.o

    • lucathia

      @Jasae Bushae
      Yes, there’s a short Kill No More x 1/2 Prince crossover written by Yu Wo herself. It’s set after 1/2 Prince ends, near the beginning volumes of Kill No More.

  7. wolfsrun

    Id is an awesome choice if you can get some Korean translators. The only other novel I would really like to see translated is Maoyuu Maou Yuusha. A translator started doing that one at baka-tsuki, but it looks like they dropped it.

  8. meow

    I’m curious about that app for android. I wanted to know if you where going to make the same app for an iPad or iPhone, because I don’t have an android.

    • Shadow Rebirth

      We were approached by the developer about making it, so unfortunately unless an iPhone developer comes forward, probably not.

  9. Gohankuten

    Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun is a light novel I have been wanting to see for ages. I liked the anime for it and have been hoping to see either the light novel or manga get picked up. The manga was picked up at one point but seems like it got dropped after a chapter or 2 and Baka-Tsuki has had it as a teaser project for quite a few years and not done much with it.

  10. Aerebes

    I would love you all forever if you translated the Id novel, i’m so addicted to it that i’ve even tried learning korean so that i could read more of it.

  11. Mitsou

    I like the ideas of translating Id (coz I like that series) but have you guy consider translating other series from Yu Wo? particularly about the first generation SK and some other that look very interesting ~

  12. Rika

    I think you should consider to translate japan’s light novel too, like shakugan no shana, sword art online, etc.
    there are a lot of series I want to read but I can’t because its RAW….

    • Rika

      @Jasae Bushae
      yes, I know Baka-Tsuki translating a lot of japanese light novels
      but I don’t think they release even 1 chapter in 3-4 months, there is no progress at all as long as I’ve seen it, that’s why I request this to PR
      but if you think you don’t need to translate it then its ok, you already have a lot of works already

    • Gohankuten

      @Rika
      Actually with Baka-Tsuki it depends on the series the update rate though even that changes. It can have no updates for ages then all of a sudden 10 volumes get put up in a few days.

    • Gohankuten

      @Rika
      Also Shakugan no shana has an official english translation. Though only volumes 1 and 2 have been released before seemingly dropped. I just wish Baka Tsuki who had some if not all of volume 3 and some of volume 4 translated would put it back since the only reason they took down those 2 volumes is due to potential copyright from the official english translators even though the likelihood of them releasing 3 and 4 is practically none.

    • Gohankuten

      @Seraphim
      Yes but they won’t translate or put back translated parts of Volume 3 and 4 on the off chance Viz Media do decide to pick shakugan back up and release those volumes which is what I was lamenting about.

  13. Sunny

    I’d REALLY love to read ID but unfortunately I can’t help withthe translating.

  14. Nanolaughing

    OMG YES! I LOVE Id! (the Greatest Fusion Fantasy) It would be AMAZING if you guys translated it! But then again you may not. But I hope you guys do! When you guys upload a chapter EVERY PR FAN will click without a second thought! that’s how much we appreciate your upload and hoping you’ll keep upload!

  15. Cat-Alin

    Yah, don’t know any good novels for translating ..
    But I slipped over some info on what happens in volume 8 of 1/2 Prince and I’m sooooo anxious to read~! But I’ll be patient and wait .. my brain will keep my company until the translation is here ..

    C-A

  16. Fantasydotcom

    Id!
    I would love for you guys to tranlste Id properly. I followed the old translation, but when it stopped I almost died. Sometimes I just wish that I can understand korean and could translate it to english. If you could find any translators, I would be willing to help out in proof reading :P
    Fantasy

  17. dollyfishe

    aw … i was hoping u will continue the story bout xiao lan daughter ?
    anyway … any stories will be good i guess as i dont have any suggestion
    and by the way, thanx for updating the news for android :D download and installed ^^

  18. Chicaalterego

    You are -considering- translating ID? AWESOME! I read that one an is so very epic! I think is so nice you are spanding your horizons. ^_^

  19. Anon

    I’m not really sure if you knew, but there’s someone who’s doing releases of LoS and is further ahead than you ^^;;

    • D@yw@lker

      @Anon
      ah, yeah, i found that one now that you mentioned it. And whoever it is, isn’t bad at it. If i were PR, I would kidnapp that person and make him/her work in an undergroundbasement for you and not letting him/her out ;)

    • dahlys

      @Anon
      You will find out why our releases are lagging behind soon, heehee :) So stay tuned to PR’s updates…

  20. Grimful

    May i say i will probably end up loving u more than my high school gf if u end up translating id, also here is a link to someone who’s already kinda been doing id novel translations but at a slow pace, then again he’s doing it by himself, http://idnovel.blogspot.com/ . please please please please please pick up ID. thanks

  21. Li

    I was wondering if it would be possible to request translating novel side stories from manga/manwha/manhua series? I’m thinking mostly about the novels of the series Nurarihyon no Mago. The World God Only Knows novels are already being translated at a decent pace at BakaTsuki. Also, the Mimizuku to Yoru no Ou sequel: ‘Dokuhakihime to Hoshi no Ishi’. It’s just one volume long.

  22. Lurker

    if you’re still open to suggestions, I’d recommend ark, which is a Korean game novel. Others compare it to LMS, so I think it’ll be good. Raws are on jcafe, but are pretty hard to find, so let me know if you are interested and I can help you find the link.

  23. D@yw@lker

    Discussing all the good novels out there makes me really want to find something new to read.
    Does anyone have maybe a list of sites except oddsquad, bakatsuki and Asmodea, where they have some translated novels? (Hopefully more than 1 or 2 chapters only…)

    Any estimates on the release for the LSK chapters? I’m going a little bit crazy checking the site 5-7 times a day ;) If you’re delayed please just tell us ^^

  24. Cindy

    yay! thanks for considering translating id! i love that novel thanks again!

  25. Reene

    then could u perhaps consider translating no hero by yu wo?
    (no hero is a sequel of eclipse hunter but u can still read no hero without reading eclipse hunter.)
    Currently, eclipse hunter is being translated by the odd squad group.
    while there is only one person, Asmodea, who is translating no hero.
    However, she hasn’t posted anything since January this year and her current status is inactive.
    She also never specify whether she has dropped the translation or not and many people (including me) thinks that she is too busy to continue doing the translating and has lose hope in waiting for any translation from her.

    • Jasae Bushae

      @Reene
      umm… http://www.princerevolution.org/update-august-2012/#comment-23980 they established that their already translating it ^^;
      but they wont be picking up another yu wo novel until after 1/2 prince is completed

      personally i wanna see kill no more some time since the description ive heard sounds ridiculous (magic and gundams and suchnes) http://z4.ifrm.com/30013/15/0/p1120866/killnomoresynopsis.jpg
      So im hoping they take a crack at it eventually ^^ (no idea how long either no hero or female warrior are though)
      hmm…maybe they will pick up a third series if they get like ten more translators XD

    • [PR]lucathia

      I’m personally more of a fan of Kill No More. No Hero is a great series though. The answer is, of course, more translators. XD Then there’d be no dilemma. I don’t know. I’m still interested in translating Kill No More, haha…

    • [PR]dahlys

      Well, PR doesn’t have any Korean translators for now, so we will first continue working on Yu Wo’s series.

  26. james

    Oh that would be awesome if someone translated id-the greatest fusion fantasy the manga was so good and I’ve read the first 9 chapters in the novel that they have translated already and it was great
